St John's Digital Making Club
From September 2019 the full club sessions will be
after School from 15:10 to 16:30 every Tuesday, in room G112
with the first session starting on Tuesday 24th September.
In addition every Friday lunchtime, starting 13th September,
there will be a casual drop-in session in room G112 to demonstrate
new projects and facilities and to provide advice to any students.
For all St John's students that are interested in 'digital making' which combines Design & Technology (DT) with Computer Science (CS).
- Want to learn how to make a robot?
- What about building a bird box web cam?
- Or making dancing puppets?
- Or maybe learn about Live Coding a music 'synth'
The weekly full club sessions use Raspberry Pi single board computers and BBC micro:bit + Arduino microcontrollers to learn and develop basic DT & CS skills. Encouragement and support is then given to individuals and groups to develop their own longer term projects.
