Jamming in Marlborough
Marlborough Town Hall
Sunday 28th October - 10:00am to 4:00pm
“Jamming in Marlborough” on Sunday 28th October from 10:00am through to 4:00pm, in the Court Room of Marlborough Town Hall, is our third, fun packed, Raspberry Pi computer event, known as a Raspberry Jam.
Come and see the Raspberry Pi and other computers in action with digital making demonstrations and presentations. Something for all the family: electronics, autonomous robots, time lapse and stop motion photography, home automation, robotic arms and much more.
Understand how easy it is to ‘code’ and to make fun projects using a low cost computer. Get hands–on experience in one of the workshops and guarantee a space by pre-booking a session.
Already have a Raspberry Pi? Bring it along to show what you have been doing or to get advice.
Anyone that is interested in getting to grips with the rapidly developing use of technology both in the workplace and society, or just wants some fun playing with all sorts of digital projects, should drop in to this free event which is only made possible with support from Marlborough Town Council for the use of the Town Hall and of course all the volunteers that help us on the day.
So, come along and see the demonstrations and take part in some free workshops, bringing all your friends and family with you - everyone is welcome!
The web page links below provide preliminary details for all the demonstrations and workshops that will be available, although they may change a little bit as we refine the overall programme. So, take a look at what is planned, pre-book a workshop that interests you and pass on the details of this fun event to all your friends and family!
With your support the Marlborough Area Maker Group hosts Raspberry Jams and other events because:
- We believe that digital making with computers is not only a fun thing to do, but also because;
- One of the core objectives of our Group is to encourage skills development and expertise in digital systems/computing and embedded software for all age groups, but in particular for the under-18’s, as we think that it is vital that the younger generation master these skills.
If you would like to learn more, help, or participate in some way, please contact us by email here.
Please note: that to demonstrate one of the Image Taking uses of the Raspberry Pi a time lapse video will be captured for most of the duration of this event.
